3rd Annual WaterSmart Innovations Conference Registration Open
For the last three years, Audubon International has partnered with the Southern Nevada Water Authority, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s WaterSense Program, and other partners to help deliver the world’s pre-eminent community water efficiency conference, WaterSmart Innovations (WSI). This year (October 6-8), Audubon international is presenting a session on Stormwater Management and Sustainable Communities with one of its newest Community Initiative partners (www.Ostara.com). Last year’s WSI conference and exposition drew nearly 1,200 participants from 43 states and 13 nations--featuring more than 130 professional sessions and an expo hall with 100 exhibitors. Fletcher 2010 APA Sustainable Indicators Presentation Now Available
Kevin A. Fletcher, PhD, Executive Director for Audubon International presented "Using Sustainability Indicators to Drive Community-Wide Action" at the 2010 American Planning Association Annual Conference in New Orleans.
The National Charrete Institute is a nonprofit organization that offers community planners and leaders with tools and training on the art and science of using charretes to help drive sustainable community planning. In community planning, charretes offer a structured and systematic way to present and share ideas and visions of a community's future while fostering community-wide involvement and input.
Audubon International Presents at April Planning Conference
Using sustainable indicators to drive change and helping small and rural communities towards more sustainable planning, policies, and practices will be the focus of Audubon International's presence at the 2010 American Planning Association conference (April 11th-13th) in New Orleans, LA.
